Participation Report format

 

 

 

The Participation Report format is:

A.  (Total Hours).  This includes all hours in support of Army MARS. Time is accrued in half-hour or hour segments.  One to 40 minutes equals a half hour; 41-60 minutes equals one hour.

A1. Authorized off-the-air hours are:

a.   Preparing training lessons for Army MARS nets.

b.   Studying Army MARS manuals and directives in preparation for participation in Army MARS training.

c.   Reviewing existing or draft Army MARS manuals, guides, and directives.

d.   Logging and preparing Participation Reports.

e.   Writing and updating Army MARS software for Army MARS operations.

f.    Drafting new Army MARS guides or directives approved by higher authority.

g.   Attending Army MARS meetings and conferences to include travel time.

h.   Performing functions associated with designated Army MARS state, region and special staffs.

            i.   Developing and preparing technical articles.

j.  Maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment used for Army MARS functions.

k.  Assisting other Army MARS members on Army MARS-related functions or activities.

l.   Performing Army MARS public relations activities.

m. Supporting or installing community Army MARS stations.

n.  Participation in courses approved by the Director, Regional Operations.

A2. Item A-2 (Total on-the air hours).  This is the total on-the-air hours on Army or other service nets.

a. User connections via radio to an AF/Army MARS WL2K PMBO for sending or receiving traffic.

b. All other on-the-air HF and VHF operations.

     

C.  Item B-1 (Total messages processed).  Total number of messages handled.

D.  Item C (Number of Phone Patches).  Total of all phone patches completed by designated phone patch stations.

E.   Item D (Unattended equipment operations).  Total hours of PMBO or other automated system.  Time spent as systems operator counts toward on-the-air time.

H.  The following items are optional for member Participation Reports except Auxiliary members must note in Item F the type support provided and PMBOs should report their outages and operational changes here.  RDs and SMDs may require members to complete some of all of the optional items.

3.   Item H:  VHF/UHF hours.       

4.   Item I:  Digital mode hours.

7.   Item J-3:  Receipt of State messages.

 

 

J.    If  there is no information to report for any item, that item should be omitted from the Participation Report.
